  • Southwest Region: Securitas has heart

On May 8th 2011, nearly 400 athletes took the start of the triathlon of “the Girondins de Bordeaux”. The race had a humanitarian significance since part of the registration fee was donated to the Mécénat Cardiac Surgery, which hosts and operates in France of foreign children with heart defects. The Securitas branch of Bordeaux wished to contribute to this charitable approach. It provided, for three nights, securing tents by a canine guard. "Our mission was to prevent deterioration of infrastructure, until the final dismantling of the assembly, explains Pierre Destandau, agency director of Bordeaux. It was also to protect the sound system and the material shown by the sponsors. But above all we wanted to make one’s contribution. We know the sports club of Bordeaux and we wanted to support their great initiative."
